Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University (with honors), and an Associate in Risk Management certification. Ken is currently working toward the completion of a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter degree. Ken’s insurance experience began in 1985 and includes a variety of business insurance sales and management positions. Prior to forming Porter & Curtis, Ken and his partner Bill Curtis founded and successfully managed a retail brokerage operation for Arthur J. Gallagher & Company, the fourth largest broker in the world. Ken’s technical focus is in risk financing, specifically in the alternative financing area. His experience includes rent-a-captives, loss-portfolio transfers, and protected self-insurance. |

Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a M.B.A. in Finance from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and a Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law. In addition, Bill holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) professional designations from the Insurance Institute of America. Bill is a licensed broker and surplus lines broker and is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania. Bill began his career in 1979 and has held various underwriting and risk management positions. Prior to forming Porter & Curtis, Bill and his partner Ken Porter founded and successfully managed a retail brokerage operation for Arthur J. Gallagher & Company, the fourth largest broker in the world. His technical focus is in risk financing, specifically in the alternative financing area.
